Matilda grew up in England, graced by generations of home-bakers.

Inspired by a mother who whipped up goodies with a handheld mixer and old Aga - she couldn’t imagine a weekend morning without drop scones, an afternoon without lardy cake, or dinner without a dessert that wasn’t sticky and drenched in cream.

Her creative style has a taste of nostalgia, which is also inspired by travels influencing her varied palette and designer approach to her work.

With a degree in the arts and over a decade in kitchens, she now shares her creativity in ‘Wildflour’ through favourite and playful flavours, and artistic cake design.
